Printing on canvas has taken the fine art and photo printing industry by storm. Canvas prints were initially made in photo labs by pasting a thin photographic layer onto a canvas panel. When digital printing technology became available, the fine art industry began to make “giclee” prints on canvas. As the technology improved the quality did so as well. Today canvas prints have become so popular that not only are artists using it to reproduce their work but professional photographers have readily adopted it as a way to offer a wider range of print styles.
Prints offered are either on canvas or fine art paper, which is a slightly textured paper. The canvas prints come ready to hang - stretched and mounted. The fine art paper does not come framed or mounted but rolled in a package tube. FOR FINE ART PAPER PRINTS CHECK THE ART PAPER SECTION.
